Our most recent issue has been consistent livestock detection. We have tested a variety of PIR and movement sensors that have failed for a number of reasons, but have finally settled on a specific ultrasonic sensor. We are mounting 3 of them to get a greater field of detection and are working are integrating them into our current code base.
